Me and my wife Tracy. Love you sweetie

Hello everyone, I wanted to take a moment to talk about a new advertising service that is taking the internet by storm, whilst also talking about the reasons why I started using it. The ad service in question is called Newspapers Alive, and it’s a little different than what you may be used to in your marketing efforts, as it adopts an offline approach.

I’ll get into more about how the program works in a moment, but I want to start things out by talking about why I am now in the world of internet marketing. I was forced out of work for a 6-month period after sustaining an on the job leg injury. While my salary was covered via worker’s compensation, it did little to cure the boredom of sitting around all day with my leg up. It was reading the local paper that gave me an idea of a way to make money.

I had done a little dabbling in internet marketing in the past couple of years, mostly promoting Clickbank links on a semi-regular basis. I didn’t make a ton of money, but did have a little success over that period of time. My biggest problem was that I didn’t have the time to commit to the marketing side of my online efforts, as my work had me working long hours. By the time I got home, the last thing I wanted to do was put in even more hours in my online efforts, which meant I was restricted to taking care of my online business on the weekends. Being laid up with an injury gave me a lot more time to focus on my internet money-making efforts, but I also felt that I had fallen a little bit behind in my marketing skills. I needed something that would work for me while I got up to speed.

My previous marketing efforts were all online based, as I assumed that was the way to go when marketing products that were found online. I used all the traditional internet marketing methods, but it was picking up the daily paper that made me think it was time to broaden my horizons. It was the classified section in particular that caught my attention.

I was amazed at how much that section of the newspaper had changed since I last gave it a look. I assumed that it would be nothing but property listings, job postings, and people marketing their garage sales, but I was surprised to see that there were now entire sections devoted to people marketing all manner of online MLM businesses. It had never occurred to me to take my marketing offline, but it seemed obvious that if this many people were doing it, that it must be a method that was proving to be effective. I called my local newspaper, as well as others in the surrounding area, and was disappointed to find that the price of placing an ad was a lot more than I thought. I wondered how all these folks could afford it, so I took to the forums to get more info, and was introduced to the program I mentioned earlier: Newspapers Alive.

The person that introduced me to the program had only just begun using it, so they didn’t say much to share with me in the way of results. I visited the main page of the program, and while I was intrigued by what I saw, I wasn’t willing to commit until I had received some sort of feedback on the results. I continued to follow the thread on the forum, and quickly saw that the number of people using Newspapers alive was growing at quite a speedy rate. The results also started to trickle in, with most of them being of the positive variety. It took a couple of weeks of seeing this trend grow before I finally decided to sign up for myself. I was still a little concerned that a lot of the people crowing about how good the Newspapers Alive system was were doing so because it had a killer compensation plan, but my hope was that it also delivered results when advertising an alternative program. I figured I would give it a month to prove itself.

Getting started with Newspapers Alive:

The first step you need to take care of after signing up us choosing which of the three traffic packages to choose from. Since this was my first foray into the world of Newspapers Alive, I opted for Package 1, which claimed to be able to deliver 200-250 visitors per day to the website that you are trying to promote. Every one of those visitors comes from the newspaper ads placed by NPA staff each day, with all those ads running in the US. The method they use is simple, which is that they run an ad in a single newspaper, with said ad having a headline and a URL. When a reader types in the URL in their browser, they are directed to the offer page of an NPA member, at which point they can then decide if they want to click through.

The next step is to choose 3 advertising zones where you want your traffic to originate from.
This is where you can really start to get a little creative. When I signed up, I was automatically assigned 3 zones from the 10 total zones covering the United States. I decided to stick with the zones that I was given, but only for a week, as I figured that would give me enough time to assess the results and make some changes if necessary. I was interested to see how changing zones might alter my overall results.

With the zones locked in, my next step was to create a personalized offer page. This is perhaps the most crucial step in the process, as this is what visitors will see if they follow the URL placed in the newspaper ads. The good news is that setting this page up is very straightforward, especially since NPA already provide graphics for you to use on your profile. I kept things pretty simple, adding a call to action and a link to my website. I am not the most creative person in the world, so having things be so easy was great. If you like to get a little more creative, you will find several different training videos that will explain techniques that you can use in your wording and personalized page set-up. I wanted to get started right away, so I stuck with the simple approach.

My end of the deal was now down, and it was a matter sitting back and waiting to see if NPA would hold up theirs. The traffic started to come almost immediately, and with the help of detailed stat tracking, I was able to dig a little deeper into the results. The zones that were offered to me at the start were all from the southern part of the US, and since that is where I live, I thought it would be a good place to start. I understand that this is not the wealthiest part of the country, which is why the program that I promoted seemed perfect. I am a member of Skinny Body Care, and since it only costs $10 to get started there, I thought it to be an excellent choice for those looking to get into a low cost online opportunity.

It was Texas where more than half of my visitors came from during that first week. Florida was the next biggest traffic contributor at around 25%, with the remaining group coming from some of the smaller states. It stood to reason that the more heavily populated states would deliver the most visitors.

I did not receive an upgraded member to my chosen program in the first week, but decided that I would stick with the same 3 zones, as I believed that the low cost of entry into Skinny Body Care will still prove to be a bonus in these zones.

That decision paid off nicely in week two, as I quickly started to pick up new distributors, with a total of 5 regular and 1 silver signing up by the end of the second week. This is great news as I am already into profit with 2 weeks still to go in my first month. You know, I really like the Skinny Body Care comp plan as they make it really lucrative to advertise, paying high percentages in both fast start bonuses and generational overrides.

This was when I decided to turn things up so to speak, which meant changing zones to incorporate the most heavily populated parts of the country. The stats were showing me that there was strength in numbers, and I set out to prove it with this change. The results bore out my belief, as I ended up with another 8 upgraded members at the end of week 3, but that is not where the good news ends. I contacted each of those new members to my downline, as I always do, and had three of them express an interest in moving up to the higher price point levels. This is not that surprising when you consider that the average salary of people living in these 3 zones is more than that of my previous 3.

As I entered my fourth and final week of my first month of the NPA program, I had one of my previous buyers upgrade to the gold level in SBC. This was enough to convince me to stick with the same 3 zones as I went with in week 3, but I am not saying that this will be a permanent thing, as I believe that there is still a lot of testing to be done, both with the zones and with the programs that I am promoting.

The one thing that I have decided is that I will be renewing my membership in NPA for a second month. I am sticking with Package 1 at a cost of $60 per month, but may choose to up that once my injury heals and I head back to work. If I continue to see the same type of results that I did in the first month, I may start to tinker with some other elements to see how that affects things. I am contemplating using a micro gig service to have someone create more compelling copy for me on my personalized page, and I am also considering trying a few different Clickbank programs that I have had success with in the past and which I believe would do well in the NPA program. I am also toying with the idea of adding my personal contact info so that I can answer all questions quickly and directly.

I am well aware that one good month does not a program make, which is why I plan on continuing to keep you all updated on any changes that I make, as well as posting the results of said changes. I am sold on Newspapers Alive based on my personal experience, and I believe that you will be, too. I suggest that you try a similar cautious approach to the one that I used, and then build from there. I wish you the best of luck in all your marketing efforts.

After fulfilling my due diligence researching and using Newspapers Alive for roughly one month, I am giving it an A-
